Sample answer
I’d like to talk about my childhood friend, Rahul, who was my best friend
during our school days. We were practically inseparable until the 5th standard.
Unfortunately, we lost touch when his father, who worked for the government,
got transferred to another city. It was quite sudden, and back in those days,
staying in touch wasn't as easy as it is now. We didn’t have smartphones or
social media to keep our friendship alive, and gradually, we lost contact.
Fast forward to last summer, I was at a shopping mall just
browsing around, when, out of the blue, I bumped into Rahul. At first, I didn’t
recognize him—I mean, we both had grown up quite a bit since 5th grade! But then
he called out to me, and I realized it was him. Honestly, it felt like a blast
from the past! We were both surprised but incredibly happy to see each other
after all those years.
We ended up sitting at a restaurant in the mall, talking for
hours. It felt like no time had passed at all—we picked up right where we had
left off. I even invited him over to my house, and we spent the evening
reminiscing about our childhood, school days, and all the pranks we used to
pull.
Now, we’re back in regular touch, and we talk quite often.
It’s amazing how life comes full circle sometimes. Meeting him again after so
many years felt like a stroke of luck, and it reminded me how important it is
to cherish old friendships.
